MEET CHRIST

Meeting Christ

God wants to have a personal relationship with all men. Every person was created by God with a natural desire and longing for Him.

When God created the first humans, Adam and Eve, there was perfect communion and fellowship with them in the Garden of Eden.

Unfortunately, this fellowship ended when the first man and women rebelled against God by listening to the serpent’s deceitful temptation to disobey God.

Ever since then, we are all collectively under the curse of sin. This is the reason for such hurt, pain, and confusion in our world – we are living under a curse. This curse’s strength is in death. But not just physical death, but also spiritual death. This is eternal separation from God in a place called Hell, which was originally created for Satan and his angels.

Romans 5:12  ~  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Romans 6:23  ~  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

But God’s love did not expire at man’s failure. The Bible tells a grand story of redemption. From cover to cover, the story of pursuing man’s soul and redeeming him from sin and death is beautifully told. This story culminates in the story of the Gospel.

The Gospel (“good news”) is that Jesus Christ is God Himself, who became a man, and lived a perfect life on earth. He pushed back at the curse of sin by healing sickness and diseases, raising people from the dead, and offering forgiveness of sin.

Jesus was crucified on a cross and part of God’s requirement for the payment of sins. Christ, the Son of God was the perfect substitution for the punishment we all deserve. Jesus took the punishment we all deserve, so we don’t have to.

2 Corinthians 5:21  ~  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Now, God offers the gift of salvation, freely to all, based on the perfect sacrifice and work of His Son, Jesus Christ.

To receive this gift of salvation, one must simply receive Christ’s forgiveness and ask Him to be their personal Savior. It is a simple and personal decision that everyone must make.

You can personally receive Christ as your Savior right now by simply praying to Him and receiving this free gift of salvation.

Ephesians 2:8-9  ~  8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 10:13  ~  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
